The "J. C. Power Team" at Lansing First Southern Baptist Church mixes food, fun and Bible study on the first and third Wednesday of the month during the school year, from 6pm to 8:30pm. The new group welcomes young people in 9th though 12th grade to meet for dinner (usually pizza or something like that), conversation about Scripture, and a variety of activities. Leader Drew Brickson explains, "Each outing will begin with food and fellowship followed by an activity designed to build confidence, teamwork and trust among the group members - while always having a foundation based upon the scriptures." During the summer, kids will be getting together every week or so for Movie Night or Game Night (playing Scattergories, Outburst, CatchPhrase and other games). Contact Randy Zacher for more details.
